If you have seen one you've seen them all. That's how I feel watching Despicable Me 3 or a better title would be “Predictable Me 3”

Once again Gru (Steve Carell), the evil villain turned good guy with his wife Lucy (Kristen Wiig) along with his adopted daughters and adorable minions fight for Truth, Justice and the American Way.  Whoops sorry, that's the plot for Superman. They fight the evil genius Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker of South Park fame) in a musical dance off.  Add in a new twist, Gru's long lost twin brother Dru and you've got a mish mosh that could only be done in a cartoon.

While the minions are usually the most entertaining part of a Despicable Me film, having had their own movie, their novelty wore off.

If you liked the first two films, hopefully, you may not be bored with this new iteration. If you have kids bring them, it'll get them out of the heat during the hot summer afternoons.
