Opportunity Village, Las Vegas’ Favorite Charity celebrates 25 years of making holiday magic—with their longest running holiday tradition, “Magical Forest” (a winter wonderland of millions of sparkling lights). It’s a forest filled with hundreds of dazzling trees, plus, take a ride on the Forest Express Passenger Train, zoom around the track at Rudolph’s Raceway, play a round at Rod’s Mini-Golf, take a spin on Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel and more. GREAT SANTA RUN
With an expected 10,000 participants, the Great Santa Run is quite the sight to behold—with thousands of santa-suited runners up and down the streets of Las Vegas. And all for a good cause! The funds raised from the Las Vegas 5K run and 1-mile walk held on Sat., Dec. 5, go to Opportunity Village, a local non-profit organization that helps special needs adults and children by providing them with services for work and life. The Las Vegas Great Santa Run is not only one of the non-profit’s most important fundraisers, but also an internationally recognized holiday tradition that attracts families, businesses, individuals and global tourists to Downtown Las Vegas. This year marks the 12th year for the festive 5K run and 1-mile walk. It will be held on Sat. Dec. 5, 2016 with celebrity guest appearances like last year’s Wayne Newton, The Chippendales, Jabbawockeez, Penn & Teller, Jersey Boys, and more. $45 for adults, $25 for children ages 6-12 and $15 for children ages 2-5. Spreading holiday cheer to all of the furry friends in the Las Vegas Valley with Santa Paws at the Magical Forest on Dec. 11th from 10am-2pm. Guests can share the magic of the holiday season with their beloved pets with an array of events for both pets and their owners. The afternoon-long occasion will feature local pet vendors, animal adoptions and demonstrations. In addition, pets and their owners can cozy up for an adorable photo opportunity with Santa, with photo packages staring at $21. Tickets are priced at $5 for individuals; you must have a pet with you to receive this price. Pets receive free admission. Classic Magical Forest holiday favorite attractions including Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel and The Forest Express Passenger Train will be open and pet friendly for this event, ride tickets must be purchased separately from admission, but are free for pets.

NEVADA BALLET THEATER PRESENTS
The Vegas tradition keeps on growing with Nevada Ballet Theater’s annual performance of The Nutcracker and Tchaikovsky’s beloved score on stage once again at The Smith Center. Glittering holiday cheer will fill the stage and Tchaikovsky’s beloved score will fill the theater as Clara and her Nutcracker Prince dance through a larger than life world filled with waltzing flowers, nimble fairies, and moonlit snow. SNOW IN THE DESERT
Starting November 11, snow will hit Vegas in the Square at Town Square Park. The holiday cheer lasts 10 minutes and is choreographed to everyone’s favorite holiday music Mondays through Thursdays at 7pm and Fri-Sun at 7pm and again at 8pm through December 23, 2016.

FESTIVE LIGHTS AT THE LINK’S HIGH ROLLER
The High Roller, the world’s largest observation wheel at The LINQ Promenade, will be festive this fall and holiday season, making the 550-foot-tall Vegas landmark a festive background for photo ops when it’s lit up all red, white & blue at 6pm on both Election Day (Nov. 8) and Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
The classic story in a lavish new production telling the story of a song-and-dance team putting on a show in a magical Vermont inn and falling for a stunning sister act in the process.
