Santa lookalikes will join the cast of JERSEY BOYS Las Vegas, The Chippendales, and more Vegas entertainers to participate in 11th annual world’s largest gathering of Santa-clad runners/walkers. The event includes appearances from Vegas legend Wayne Newton, a performance by Jabbawockeez, and more surprises. Featuring a 5k run and one-mile walk, this race raises funds for the incredible “OVIPs” that Opportunity Village serves. After the event, every person that rides Downtown Las Vegas’ enormous zipline, SlotZilla, from 10am-5pm the day of the run, 100 percent of all the revenue will benefit Opportunity Village. FIREFIGHTERS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA BURN FOUNDATION – 13TH ANNUAL “FILL THE FIRE TRUCK” TOY DRIVE
Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation will kick off its 13th annual “Fill The Fire Truck” Toy Drive on Thursday, Dec. 3 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hennessey’s Tavern and will begin collecting unwrapped toys and gift cards starting Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 across the valley on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, Dec. 20. The non-profit organization is a charitable organization that reaches out to the Southern Nevada community, as well as the local Red Cross chapter, during catastrophic situations and lends a hand in areas where other organizations are unable to help. The organization provides assistance for sick or injured children through financial aid, clothing and furniture donations and has raised more than $1,500,000 for the Southern Nevada community since 2003.
